Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of CrewDock ("the Service"), a web-based rate calculation and job management tool for UK commercial film crew. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

CrewDock provides tools to help UK commercial film crew calculate pay based on APA (Advertising Producers Association) rate cards, track jobs, generate invoices, and (on paid plans) integrate with bookkeeping software.

CrewDock is designed as a reference and calculation aid only. While we take care to keep our rate calculations accurate and up to date with APA terms, we do not guarantee that any calculation is legally binding or constitutes professional financial or legal advice. You remain responsible for verifying your own pay entitlements with your production company or a qualified professional.

2. Accounts

To use the Service you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

You must not share your account credentials with others, use another person's account, or create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing plan limits.

3. Plans and Payment

CrewDock is available on a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. The features included in each plan are described on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. All prices are in GBP and inclusive of any applicable VAT. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store payment card details.

Pro subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. No refunds are provided for the current billing period, but you will retain Pro access until the period ends.

By subscribing to a Pro plan and requesting immediate access to the Service, you acknowledge that you waive your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, as the digital service will be made available to you immediately upon payment.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or extract the Service's underlying code, rate data, or algorithms. You must not use the Service to process or store data on behalf of others without their consent.

5. Your Data

You own the data you enter into CrewDock, including your job records, rates, and invoice details. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Notice for full details of how we collect and use your data.

On the Free plan, data is retained for 6 months of inactivity. On the Pro plan, data is retained for 3 years. You may export or delete your data at any time from your account settings.

6. Intellectual Property

The CrewDock platform, including its design, code, and content, is owned by us and protected by copyright. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that calculations will be accurate in every circumstance. Rate card calculations are based on published APA terms and our interpretation of them. We are not liable for any financial loss arising from incorrect calculations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where possible. Continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
